OxygenOS 3.0 beta Build Now Available for OnePlus 2 [Download]

Some of you know, soak testing for OxygenOS 3.0 (based on M) started a few weeks ago, and now OnePlus ready to share it with us. OnePlus still want to ask the community for help to make sure OnePlus work out any remaining kinks before OnePlus OTA the build officially.
OnePlus 2
What’s available today is a daily-driver-material community release of 3.0. If you’re the type who won't mind rolling up your sleeves a bit to get your Marshmallow on, this one’s for you. OnePlus would like to ask for a little help with testing some aspects of the software that require a larger user base around the world. Here’s what OnePlus need your feedback on:
  • Network testing (how is this update working on your specific carrier, your specific region?)
  • Are you noticing improvements to the camera (both UI and picture quality)?
  • Performance and battery life - let us know how your phone runs.
This build is OTA eligible which means you’ll receive future OTAs on this build so don’t worry about not getting updates if you flash this.

Here’s what’s new in this build:

  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow upgrade
  • New OnePlus Camera UI
  • UI has been cleaned up: swiping up/down now switches between photo/video, whereas HD/HDR and flash settings live in the top right corner
  • You can now change the aspect ratio and toggle grid view without going all the way to the settings
  • New wallpaper picker
  • Easily preview and set both home screen and lock screen wallpaper in one place.
  • Shelf UX has been improved
  • No more edit mode, long press boards to rearrange or remove
  • General system performance improvements
  • Benchmarked 47% faster than OxygenOS 2.2.1 on key test scenarios
  • Fingerprint performance improvement
  • Tested 45% faster than OxygenOS 2.2.1 on average
  • Settings changes
  • Old app permissions are gone, say hi to new (native Android) app permissions.
  • Alert Slider has its own entry point with more customization options
  • Improved settings menu readability by changing the order a bit
  • March security patches

There are a few things we want you to be aware of:

  • Your fingerprints will not be preserved after you flash the new build, so you will need to re-register your fingerprints if you have fingerprint authentication set up
  • Maxxaudio tuner and presets will be removed
  • Rolling back to previous OxygenOS versions will not work without wiping data
  • Some soak testers have experienced wifi speed issues which we are investigating
  • Some of your old apps won’t work without an upgrade to M compatible versions
  • Shelf frequent apps board size might shrink if you are dirty flashing. Remove and re-add the board and it will fix itself
  • Language localization is still being improved
As always, please read the instructions on our How to post carefully before flashing your device. Flashing may lead to loss of data and damaged hardware if not done properly. A few important things to note:

This build only support dirty flashing using Oxygen recovery.

Dirty flashing (that means flashing the update without wiping data or factory resetting first) requires OxygenOS 2.2.0 or higher.

Factory reset is needed if you are using any other recovery or coming from any other ROM. We do not guarantee these cases to work properly.

We ALWAYS recommend backing up all your important personal data before flashing.

Update T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Official Firmware

Samsung has never been the fastest when it comes to updating to newer versions of Android but thankfully this situation has changed a bit with Lollipop, as the Korean giant has done a pretty good job of pushing the update out to many of its flagship devices. Of course, Android isn’t standing still and due to a number of bugs and performance issues, it recently made the jump from Android 5.0.x to 5.1. How long before Samsung follows suit? Sooner than you’d think.

Up until now, Android 5.1 had been exclusive to Nexus, Android One, and GPe devices, but several reports are coming in that suggest that T-Mobile is now rolling out an update to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge that brings its software up to version 5.1.1. Yes, you read that right. Samsung isn’t just jumping up to 5.1, they are getting the very latest version of it (5.1.1) — an update that so far hasn’t even hit any Nexus devices, at least outside of the Nexus Player.

If you want to get this latest firmware on your Galaxy S6 SM-G925T, then we have a complete guide on how to install UVU2COF6 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Galaxy S6 G925T device manually with Odin.

Please keep in mind that this is an Official Firmware, not a modified custom ROM. You can easily install UVU2COF6 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Galaxy S6 G925T using our tutorial given below. I recommend you to read this article once before actually performing it on your device.

Install CyanogenMod 12.1 on YU Yureka AO5510 - Nightly ROM

A nightly has appeared for the Yu Yureka (Code name: tomato), a more powerful handset that trades out the Snapdragon 410 for the 615. Its nightly comes in at a slightly larger 366MB.

Since these devices ship with Cyanogen OS out of the box, flashing CyanogenMod won't provide as stark a difference as you would see replacing the likes of TouchWiz or Sense. But for tinkerers, that's hardly the point. Regardless, these nightly builds are uploaded daily, and stability may not come as part of the package.
    YU Yureka AO5510
You can update YU Yureka AO5510 to Android 5.1 CyanogenMod 12.1 Lollipop custom firmware using the tutorial below. This is an official release by CyanogenMod, a custom ROM which would require a custom recovery like ClockworkMod in order to flash the ROM zip and Google Apps zip files on your phone. Also make sure, your warranty will be voided when you install this custom ROM.
NOTE : This is the LATEST Update of CyanogenMod 12.1 (cm-12.1-20150613-NIGHTLY-tomato.zip) Nightly ROM released on 13 June 2015.
As you continue reading below, we will guide you through how to backup data, some other important tips and the entire process of how to install CyanogenMod 12.1 Lollipop ROM on YU Yureka AO5510 with complete steps using CWM Recovery.

Let’s get on with the tutorial now and make sure you backup your Phone as given below, because all the data will wiped during the installation process. The following tips are important as they will help the installation procedure to go smooth without any issues. Let’s begin with the tutorial below.

Disclaimer: All the custom ROMs and firmwares, official software updates, tools, mods or anything mentioned in the tutorial belong to their respective owners/developers. We (iDroid Horizon) or the developers are not to be held responsible if you damage or brick your device. We don’t have you on gun point to try out this tutorial.

Micromax YU Yureka AO5510 USB Drivers

You will need to connect your Android Phone with the computer. For that, please make sure you have installed the USB drivers for YU Yureka properly. If not, you can download the latest official drivers from our Android USB Drivers section here:

    Backup and some important tips

Backup your all important data and apps because during any installation of a new custom ROM or Official Firmware , your device will be wiped and cleaned with new operating system. Make a backup for just in case, you never know when anything might go wrong. Read below for some important tips on how to backup Android data in a easy process:

Few more important things that you must remember before installing any custom ROMs or Official Firmwares:

    • You might face some problems in connecting your Android device to the computer. How to fix? You need to enable USB debugging mode. See here: How to Enable USB Debugging — for Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and KitKat.
    •  Make sure your Android device is charged up to 80-85% battery level. This might help you: How to Check Battery Percentage.  Why? Because, if your phone goes off suddenly while installing a custom ROM, flashing an official firmware update or installing mods etc. — your phone might get bricked or go dead permanently. No one wants that, right?
    • Most of the tutorials and how-to guides on iDroid Horizon are for factory unlocked Android phones and tablets. We recommend NOT to try our guides if your phone is locked to a carrier, unless we have specified the carrier name or device model. And also make sure you have an unlocked bootloader (except Samsung).
If you find the above tips useful and they were helpful to you, please consider giving us a +1 or LIKE to thank us!
